Specialties

  • The perinatal season (including pregnancy, postpartum, fertility challenges, and early parenting) can be both deeply meaningful and unexpectedly overwhelming. It’s a time of transformation, identity shifts, and vulnerability. I offer a supportive space for women navigating the full spectrum of this journey - from anxiety, mood changes, and postpartum adjustments, to grief after loss, the heartbreak of infertility, or the stress of NICU experiences.

Whether your path to motherhood looks different than you imagined or you're simply feeling stretched thin, you don’t have to go through it alone.

  • Anxiety doesn't always look like panic - sometimes it looks like overthinking, never feeling "good enough," or trying to keep everyone else comfortable at your own expense. These patterns often begin as ways to stay safe or connected, especially in early relationships. In our work together, we’ll explore the roots of your anxiety and perfectionism, gently unwind the pressure to be everything to everyone, and help you reconnect with a steadier, more compassionate version of yourself.

  • Parenting can bring out our deepest love and our deepest doubts. I offer support for parents navigating stress, burnout, identity shifts, and the desire to parent differently than they were parented. Together, we’ll explore patterns, build connection, and strengthen your confidence.

  • A single overwhelming experience, such as a medical crisis, accident, assault, or unexpected loss, can leave lasting imprints on the body and mind. Even after the danger has passed, you may feel stuck in fear, hypervigilance, or disconnection. Through trauma-informed, body-centered therapy, we’ll work gently to restore a sense of safety, help your nervous system settle, and support you in integrating the experience so it no longer defines you.

  • Spiritual trauma can leave you feeling disconnected, not only from your beliefs or community, but from your own body, intuition, and sense of self. Whether rooted in rigid systems, shame-based teachings, or a loss of belonging, this kind of trauma often lives deep in the body. Together, we’ll reconnect with your inner wisdom, restore a sense of safety, and begin the process of coming home to yourself — body, mind, and spirit.

  • Early relationships shape how we see ourselves and connect with others. Through experiential work, we’ll uncover old patterns and begin healing attachment wounds, creating space for more authentic, secure, and connected relationships with yourself and those you love.

My Approach

I’ve long been fascinated by neuroplasticity and the incredible ability of our brains to adapt, protect us, and evolve over time. Our brains are always working to make sense of the world and keep us safe. But sometimes, the information they take in is inaccurate or based on early, maladaptive experiences. This can lead to patterns of thinking and behavior that were once necessary - like fear during a traumatic event or beliefs shaped in childhood - but no longer serve us in the present.

This is where therapy becomes powerful. “Bottom-up” approaches honor the deep connection between the body and mind, focusing first on creating safety and stability in the nervous system. By helping the body feel grounded and regulated, we can begin to gently explore and shift the thoughts, emotions, and patterns that have taken root over time. AEDP and EMDR are two therapeutic modalities I have personally connected with, have advanced training in, and are evidence supported.

AEDP (Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy)
AEDP is a healing-focused approach that helps you move through emotional pain by tapping into the power of your core emotions. Rooted in the belief that we’re wired for connection and transformation, AEDP supports you in feeling safe enough to explore what’s underneath anxiety, shame, or stuck patterns. Through a warm, attuned relationship, we gently process emotions that may have been too overwhelming to feel in the past — opening the door to relief, resilience, and lasting change.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)
EMDR is a powerful, research-supported therapy that helps the brain reprocess and heal from distressing experiences. Through bilateral stimulation (like eye movements or tapping), EMDR allows stuck memories and emotions to move through the nervous system so they no longer feel overwhelming or defining. It’s not about reliving the past, it’s about freeing you from it, so you can move forward with more clarity, calm, and confidence.

“There is no better way to capture the ethos of AEDP than to say that we try to help our patients–and ourselves—become stronger at the broken places . . . and to discover places that have always been strong and never were broken.”
